2019 results: Naftogaz increased oil production by 6%

During the past year, Naftogaz group companies increased oil and condensate production by 5.7% from 1.89 mmt in 2018 to 1.99 mmt in 2019.

In particular, Ukrnafta (50%+1 owned by Naftogaz) increased oil and condensate production by 4.8% from 1.45 mmt to 1.52 mmt. The output of Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV, 100% owned by Naftogaz) grew by 6.6% from 446.7 kt to 478.2 kt.

Private producers decreased oil and condensate production by 39% from 214.9 kt to 135.4 kt.

The Naftogaz share in Ukraine’s oil and gas condensate production exceeded 90% in 2019. However, the share of oil products made from domestically produced oil is substantially lower than the share of oil products imported to Ukraine or made from imported oil.

MANUFACTURING OF OIL PRODUCTS

UGV’s Shebelynka Gas Processing Plant increased manufacturing of oil products, including 149 kt of gasoline (+13% over 2018), 88 kt of diesel fuel (+3.5%) and 176 kt of LPG (+6.8%). Its share in Ukraine’s market of oil products was nearly 4%.

According to A-95 Consulting Group, the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery (43% owned by Naftogaz) manufactured 751.8 kt of gasoline (+8.5% over 2018), 725 kt of diesel fuel (+11%) and 108.3 kt of LPG (+17%). Its share in Ukraine’s market of oil products was nearly 15%.

Total output of oil products manufactured by Naftogaz co-owned enterprises accounted less than 20% of overall Ukrainian consumption.
