In 2020, the first 1 MW Andriyivka pilot solar power plant in Kharkiv region began operating. In September 2020, 33 MW solar power plant in Chudniv, Zhytomyr region is operating in a standard mode.
Project works are going on to estimate prospective of 20 MW wind farm development in Mariivka , Mykolayiv region and two projects in Odesa region with total 50 MW capacity.
We plan to become a leader in “green” hydrogen production both for internal market and for export to EU. We signed a memo with German company RWE and other companies to research prospective of mutual projects development.
Production of biogas, biomethane and biofuels is a key area of low-carbon business development of Naftogaz. Out long-term ambition to produce up to 1 mn tons of biofuels and up to 5 bn m3 of biomethane and hydrogen annually.

Naftogaz develops EV infrastructure, having launched WeEnergy pilot project. 10 modern charging stations are already functioning at Kyiv streets with the heaviest traffic.
We are exploring the opportunities of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies, in particular, storage in the depleted oil and gas fields, as well as underground gas storage facilities in the future.
We work on energy efficient solutions for our end consumers as following topic is related to smart usage of energy resources and cost-savings, but impacts energy independence, state security and climate change.

He has 10 years of management experience in energy capital projects development and execution. In addition, Sergiy is a co-executor of the project aimed at restoring social infrastructure in Donbas.
