Naftogaz appreciates that Vice-President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič informed Russian authorities about the position of the Ukrainian side during his meeting with Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak. The Ukrainian side supports the initiative of a trilateral meeting in Brussels participated by Ukraine, the EU and Russia.

Naftogaz is the largest transit provider delivering Russian gas to European customers. The company ensures uninterrupted transit despite repeated breaches of the contract by Gazprom.

Meanwhile, when importing gas for the Ukrainian market, Naftogaz applies two key criteria: competitive price and security of supply.

Gazprom’s inflexibility against these criteria has been making the Russian supplier's offer uncompetitive for a year.

Naftogaz is ready to consider gas supplies from Russia under the conditions that were set in previous “winter packages”.
