Naftogaz of Ukraine has been informed by Gaz System S.A. of an interruption of supply via the Hermanowice gas transit point, starting from 2 pm today till 8 am CET on September 12. The Polish transit system operator (TSO) informed Naftogaz that the interruption has been caused by a reduction of gas supply “from the East direction to Poland.” The operator has notified all its affected clients accordingly.

Naftogaz is continuing discussions with Gaz System and European companies supplying gas to Ukraine via Poland to clarify the situation. The parties are set to agree on a gas flows recovery schedule and to develop an action plan to address such occurrences in the future.

Earlier today, Polish state oil and gas company PGNiG issued a note stating that Gazprom Export is not supplying requested gas volumes in full. On Monday, 20% of the requested volume was not covered, and on Tuesday the supplied volume was 24% short of the requested volume.
