Gas reserves in the underground storage facilities of Ukrtransgaz JSC reached 16 bcm on 29 June, representing a 5% (0.9 bcm) increase since the beginning of injection season.
Ukrtransgaz continues accumulating fuel in underground storage facilities — 19.3 mcm of gas was injected into UGSs during the past 24 hours.
In addition to creation of the necessary gas reserves for the heating season, Ukrtransgaz uses the down time in the market to conduct repairs and modernization of its equipment.
In particular, the company has already carried out 95% of works within the first stage of reconstruction of the Bohorodchany UGS gas collection point. The total cost of this project is UAH 283.5 million. It is scheduled for completion in the second half of the year. Ukrtransgaz is also reconstructing the heating system of the industrial site at Bohorodchany UGS (with budget of UAH 18.7 million).
In addition, the reconstruction of a gas dehumidification plant with automation of the technological process is underway at the Dashavsky UGS. Ukrtransgaz has already completed 57% of project work, with a total budget of UAH 216.6 million.
Site reconstruction work is also underway at the gas collection point of the Krasnopartizansky underground storage facility. This facility is scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2021. The budget for implementation is UAH 100.4 million.
In addition to the above mentioned projects, Ukrtransgaz is currently re-equipping five gas turbine engines for the Bilche-Volytsko-Uhersky underground storage facility and repairing three gas turbine engines at the Proletarsky and Kegychivsky gas storage facilities.
Accumulation of gas reserves in underground storage facilities and the high-quality repair and modernization of underground storage facilities are key elements of Ukraine's preparation for the heating season. All Naftogaz Group enterprises perform tasks for the next autumn-winter season in accordance with the approved plan, with preparations currently on schedule and of the highest quality.
