Russia attacks Naftogaz gas production asset in Poltava Region with drones

The strike sparked a fire at the site. Operations at the facility have been suspended. The extent of the damage cannot be assessed at this time.

At the time of the attack, employees had relocated to a secure area and had taken all necessary safety measures.

This gas production facility, like a number of others in the region, has already been targeted by Russian forces on multiple occasions. The purpose of these attacks is to strip Ukraine of its ability to produce gas and disrupt preparations for the winter,” said Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi.
