Russia attacks Naftogaz Group’s Odesa CHP with missiles and drones

On the evening of 31 August, Russia launched a missile and drone attack on the Odesa CHP, which is part of Naftogaz Group.

As a result of the attack, damage to a part of the main and auxiliary equipment at the facility has been reported.

Specialists are currently clearing the rubble. Once this work is complete, they will inspect the equipment and conduct a full evaluation of the plant’s technical condition. The results of the inspection will determine the extent of the damage, the scope of the necessary repairs, and the follow-up action plan.

Naftogaz Group is coordinating efforts with the relevant services and local authorities.

Our priority now is to promptly assess the technical condition of the plant and decide on the follow-up activities. We are carrying out all necessary actions in coordination with the relevant services and local authorities,” said Naftogaz’s Acting CEO Sergii Fedorenko.
