Since the beginning of the year, the enemy has attacked 32 UKRNAFTA filling stations and five stations operated by Ukrgasvydobuvannya. Some sites were struck repeatedly, including after they had been repaired and brought back into operation.
Filling stations are civilian infrastructure used by thousands of people every day. In frontline regions, the availability of fuel is essential for the operation of emergency services, public transport, medical teams, and rescue workers. The enemy understands this perfectly well, which is why it is trying to make life more difficult for people and deprive communities of critically needed resources. Despite these attacks, we continue to repair our facilities, restore them to operation, and supply fuel, including to frontline areas,” commented Sergii Fedorenko, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz.
Since the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014, the state-owned UKRNAFTA network has lost a total of 123 filling stations. Of these, 67 remain in temporarily occupied territories. The rest were destroyed or were forced to cease operations due to their proximity to the combat zone.
Despite the continued shelling, Naftogaz Group’s filling station network continues to supply fuel to cities and communities across Ukraine. Particular attention is being paid to frontline regions, where a stable fuel supply is critical for the work of rescue workers, medical personnel, and other emergency services.
