The event was co-hosted by Naftogaz, Ukrenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, and Gas TSO of Ukraine. It brought together more than 70 representatives from the energy sector, government, international organisations, financial institutions, and the diplomatic community.
With Russian attacks intensifying, discussions centred on the urgent need to accelerate international assistance. Participants addressed the protection of energy facilities, the restoration of damaged capacity, and ways to keep energy companies operating throughout the winter. They also drafted a joint appeal to the international community.
Since the start of the year, Naftogaz Group facilities have been targeted nearly 400 times by Russia. We are working both to restore operations and to find solutions that will make critical infrastructure more resilient to future attacks. We are grateful to our international partners for supporting us in this work,” said Sergii Fedorenko, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz.
Ukrainian companies also outlined their most urgent equipment, technology, and financing needs. They shared practical lessons learned from last experience of keeping Ukraine’s energy system running throughout the full-scale war.
