Naftogaz Group subsidiary Ukrgasvydobuvannya launched three high capacity wells with a total flow rate of 425 tcm of gas per day during June 2023. Two are new, while the third was given a new lease of life after a workover.
Despite the war, gas production is actively ongoing. Ukrgasvydobuvannya drilled two new wells at an old field. It is an excellent result enabled by a deep analysis of development and use of the constructed 3D-model. Such state-of-the-art approaches have allowed us to launch a total of 10 new wells at the field, with daily production rate exceeding 3 mmcm,” noted Naftogaz Group CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov.
Another well that underwent a workover operates at the almost 30-year-old field. Before the workover, its gas production rate was insignificant. However, after its transfer to a higher horizon, the well increased its production rate tenfold.
Reminder: Naftogaz and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal have discussed increasing Ukrainian production.During H1 2023, our company commissioned 11 high capacity wells with a production rate exceeding 100 tcm per day each. Four of them produce over 300 tcm per day. These indicators are gradually bring us closer to our goal of increasing domestic gas production. I am grateful to the team whose expertise makes such results possible, notwithstanding all the difficulties and dangers,” noted Oleh Tolmachev, Interim Director General of JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
