Naftogaz and ATLANTIC-SEE to cooperate on US LNG supply to Europe and Ukraine

Naftogaz Group has signed a Memorandum with the Greek company ATLANTIC-SEE LNG TRADE S.A.

The parties agreed to jointly develop the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States to Europe and Ukraine through Greek LNG terminals and the Vertical Corridor.

This long-term partnership extends through 2050 and will enable the phased implementation of new strategic projects: ensuring stable long-term LNG supplies for Ukraine; integrating Ukraine’s infrastructure into Europe’s LNG logistics routes; creating a sustainable system for the storage and supply of U.S. LNG

We are laying the foundations for a new era in transatlantic cooperation with our partners. This is another step toward long-term energy stability for Ukraine and new opportunities,” said Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi.

The signing took place in the presence and with the full support of Ukraine’s Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk, Greece’s Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavrou, US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, US Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle, and US Chargé d’Affaires to Ukraine Julie S. Davis.
