Naftogaz increases electricity imports from Europe to stabilize the energy system

In order to stabilize the situation in the Ukrainian energy system and in line with a recent government decision, Naftogaz Group has increased electricity imports from Europe this week.

“The volumes of imported electricity purchased already cover more than 50% of the needs of all Group companies, as stipulated by the government resolution. The corresponding volume of electricity has been freed up for household consumers,” said Sergii Koretskyi, Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz.

Naftogaz Group is coordinating its actions with the Government to stabilize the situation in the energy system as quickly as possible following Russian bombardment.
