NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” summons Gazprom OJSC representatives to observe business ethics

The NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” is deeply indignant at the constant distortion of content of the documents being sent to Gazprom OJSC. The Company is convinced that Gazprom OJSC speaker’s statement concerning acknowledgement by the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”’s specialists that the Russian gas transit via GMS “Sudja” is technically possible is a clear example of public opinion manipulations aimed to an additional public excitement around the Ukrainian – Russian gas relations.

The Company hereby officially notes that all the Russian gas transit variations via the territory of Ukraine can be considered exclusively subject to conclusion of the Technical agreement, which has to determine the rules of the Russian and Ukrainian gas transport system interrelations.

As per the early press accounts, technically the Ukrainian gas transport system is being operated presently for the internal market. This reason is that the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” is not capable to accept partially the Russian gas and to transport it to the European customers. Gazprom OJSC technicians are excellently aware of such situation.

The NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” calls to Gazprom OJSC attention as well that rules of business ethics do not allow to disclose a content of telephone conversations made by the partner enterprises top managers, even if made in conditions of information confrontation.

The Company summons Gazprom OJSC to observe ethic standards, commonly accepted by the world business.
