Ukrgasvydobuvannya sets new drilling record: over 107,000 meters in Q1 2025

Ukrgasvydobuvannya, a part of the Naftogaz Group, drilled 107,136 meters in the first quarter of 2025, setting a new quarterly record. The figure nearly doubles the volume recorded in the same period last year and surpasses the previous all-time high of 102,866 meters set in Q3 2024.

Increasing domestic gas production is a strategic priority for Ukraine. This record performance, achieved despite ongoing enemy attacks, underscores the professionalism of the Ukrgasvydobuvannya team and makes a significant contribution to strengthening our country’s energy resilience,” said Roman Chumak, Acting Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

March was the most productive month of the quarter, with a total of 41,229 meters drilled — 6,929 meters above the target of 34,300 meters. The result also surpasses the previous monthly record of 40,059 meters, set in April 2024.

Thank you to the drilling team for your outstanding work. You’ve demonstrated not only technical expertise, but also real commitment. Every meter drilled is the result of your teamwork and effort. Ukrgasvydobuvannya is proud of you,” said Serhii Lahno, Acting General Director of Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
