Naftogaz Group will actively engage in the education and development of specialists at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUOG). This collaboration aims to foster a skilled workforce in the energy sector by providing valuable opportunities to students through placement orders while offering a range of financial and non-financial incentives. A memorandum signed on June 22, 2023 between Naftogaz of Ukraine and IFNTUOG establishes the provisions for this initiative.
Despite the war, Naftogaz Group is forging ahead with its future plans. The company is actively establishing direct partnerships with universities to cultivate and attract fresh talent to its enterprises. Naftogaz also intends to introduce supportive scholarships, provide professional assistance during student studies, and ensure guaranteed employment for top-performing students in specialized fields. This is our strategic project to unlock the human resources potential of the Ukrainian oil and gas industry," commented Naftogaz Chairman of the Board Oleksiy Chernyshov.
Naftogaz Group will support training for specialists in the following six fields:
- 185 Oil and gas engineering and technology;
- 103 Earth sciences;
- 133 Industrial Engineering;
- 174 Automation, computer-integrated technologies and robotics;
- 175 Information and measurement technologies;
- 141 Electric power engineering, electrical engineering and electro mechanics.
In collaboration with the university, Naftogaz will undertake efforts to modernize its educational programs and offer its facilities for hands-on training to students, accompanied by a dedicated company mentor. Additionally, to enhance the professional growth of the university's teaching staff, the company will arrange internships for researchers and academic personnel at Naftogaz Group's industrial facilities.
The memorandum also envisages cooperation in the development of industry science, including the formulation of topics for diploma and master's theses, the preparation of scientific articles, and the development of methodological guides based on real business cases.
