Naftogaz develops green energy and gas storage cooperation with France

Naftogaz Group CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Pierre Heilbronn, French President Special Envoy for the reconstruction of Ukraine, and French Ambassador to Ukraine, Gael Veyssiere, on 5 February in Kyiv to discuss green energy and gas storage cooperation.

"One of our priorities this year is to increase the volume of gas that foreign companies store in Ukrainian gas storage facilities. With this in mind, we primarily talked about encouraging French companies to store more gas in Ukraine. An equally important topic was the development of joint projects in the field of green energy including bio methane, wind, CO2 storage and water," Chernyshov commented.

Also on the agenda was possible financing for the reconstruction of Naftogaz Group’s heating supply facilities.

"I am sincerely grateful to our French colleagues for their long-term support and cooperation. We are continuing in our efforts to realize the full potential of our partnership," added the Naftogaz Group CEO.
