The crew consisted of five people. They spotted the drone in time and managed to leave the vehicle before it was hit.
Fortunately, none of our employees were injured. At the same time, this incident once again confirms that the enemy is deliberately targeting people who restore gas infrastructure. Nevertheless, despite the extremely difficult conditions, our colleagues continue efforts to ensure a reliable gas supply for Ukrainians, including those in frontline communities,” said Sergii Fedorenko, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
This was the 14th Russian attack on GAZMEREZHI employees since the beginning of 2026.
The enemy has attacked crews both while they were responding to emergency callouts, and directly while they were carrying out work.
Overall, during this period, Naftogaz Group gas workers have handled nearly 3,300 emergency incidents caused by enemy attacks.
