Anthony Marino elected as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz

Anthony Marino, an exploration and production specialist with over 38 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, has been elected as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz.

This decision was made during the meeting of the company's new Supervisory Board on February 10, 2023.

Anthony Marino has extensive management experience. He served as executive director, president, and CEO of Vermilion Energy, an international hydrocarbon exploration and production company with a market capitalization of $4 billion.

Mr. Marino also currently serves as president and CEO of newly created energy company Tenaz Energy. During 2002-2020, he worked on the supervisory boards and boards of directors of six companies and organizations. 

The newly elected Naftogaz Supervisory Board begins its work. This is a very important step toward ensuring transparency within the company and in terms of public perceptions of Naftogaz. I am sure that we have a lot of fruitful work ahead of us," added Naftogaz CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The Ukrainian government elected the new Naftogaz Supervisory Board on 24 January 2023.

According to the current Naftogaz of Ukraine charter, the personal composition of the Supervisory Board is elected by General Meeting. The chairman of the Supervisory Board is elected by members of the Supervisory Board from their number by a simple majority of votes.
