In the early hours of March 20, Russian forces attacked Naftogaz Group oil and gas facilities. Drone strikes targeted several assets simultaneously in Ukraine’s Poltava and Sumy regions.
The attack caused damage. A fire broke out at one of the facilities and was promptly extinguished.
There is damage. Thanks to the professional actions of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service and company specialists, a fire at one of the facilities was quickly extinguished. Operations have been suspended and a damage assessment is underway,” said Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi.
At the time of the attack, personnel were in shelters. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
This marks more than 30 targeted attacks on the critical infrastructure of Naftogaz Group since the beginning of the year.
