As of September 1, Ukraine's underground storage facilities (UGS) have accumulated more than 18 billion cubic meters of gas - almost 60% of the total capacity of UGS, which corresponds to the average level of gas storage in Europe. This was reported by the press service of Naftogaz Ukrainy.

Ukrainian underground storage facilities store 3.3 billion cubic meters of gas belonging to foreign traders and private resident companies.

By the beginning of the heating season, Naftogaz plans to accumulate more than 19 billion cubic meters of gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities.

"This volume will be enough for a stable heating season, even in the event of possible additional needs of thermal power plants, which have faced the problem of insufficient coal reserves in warehouses," the statement said.
