The Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine has appointed Sergii Fedorenko, Commercial Director of Naftogaz Group, as Acting Chairman of the Executive Board.
The decision follows the appointment of Sergii Koretskyi as Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Sergii Koretskyi headed Naftogaz of Ukraine from 14 May 2025. Under his leadership, the company ensured the stable operation of Ukraine's energy system during the full-scale war with Russia, restored damaged infrastructure, diversified gas supplies, and strengthened cooperation with international partners.
The Acting Chairman's key priorities will be to maintain the high pace of preparations for the upcoming heating season, ensure sufficient gas reserves in underground storage facilities, and restore and ensure the reliable operation of Ukraine's oil and gas infrastructure amid continued Russian attacks.
He will also continue implementing strategic agreements with international partners secured by the Naftogaz Group team over the past year, both in terms of diversifying gas supply sources and routes, and in developing financial mechanisms to procure the equipment needed for recovery.
Sergii Fedorenko has more than ten years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Previously, he served as Commercial Director of Ukrnafta PJSC, Commercial Director of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, and Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz Oil Trading LLC.
Since July 2025, he has served as Commercial Director of Naftogaz Group. In 2026, he was appointed to the Management Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
He holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and an MBA from the Kyiv School of Economics.
