Russia launches sixth massive attack on Ukraine’s gas infrastructure since early October

Last night, the enemy once again launched a large-scale combined attack on gas infrastructure.

Russian troops launched dozens of missiles, including ballistic missiles, and hundreds of Shahed drones. Their targets were exclusively civilian facilities that deliver gas and heat to Ukrainians.

Unfortunately, there are casualties. Four of our colleagues are currently receiving medical aid. There have been hits and destruction in several areas at once. Operation of a number of critically important facilities has been suspended. Our specialists are starting the remedial actions immediately,” Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz Sergii Koretskyi informed.

This massive attack on gas infrastructure is already the sixth since the beginning of October alone. These strikes directly affects the volume of own gas production, which the company is forced to partially cover through imports.

I am addressing everyone with a request to use gas as sparingly as possible. Today, every cubic metre saved counts. We have the strength to overcome this one as well. Thank you to everyone who is helping,” Sergii Koretskyi noted.
