Russian forces once again carried out an artillery strike on the Kherson Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant on 28 December. As a result of the attack, one employee of the facility was injured. She has been hospitalized and is currently receiving the necessary medical care.
The plant has sustained significant damage. Emergency response and recovery works are ongoing at the site.
The Kherson CHP plant was the only source of heat for tens of thousands of apartments in the city. The enemy attacks the facility almost daily. We are coordinating our actions with local authorities to ensure backup heating solutions for city residents,” commented Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi.
On 27 December, Russian forces attacked gas and energy infrastructure across Ukraine, using Shahed drones to strike production facilities and CHP assets of Naftogaz Group.
