Thirty employee veterans were selected from more than 120 applicants. Over the course of a year, they will take part in six learning modules held across different regions of Ukraine.
The program was developed in partnership with the Ukrainian Defenders Leadership Center at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, with support from the Federation of Employers of the Oil and Gas Industry (FEOGI). It combines professional training with the development of managerial, leadership, and project management skills.
After returning from the front, our veterans come back to civilian life with unique experience. As a company, our mission is to help transform that experience into strength,” said Sergii Koretskyi, Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz.
The program was launched on October 1, Ukraine’s Defenders Day. The goal is to translate military experience into modern management competencies, bridge the psychological gap between military and civilian life, and create opportunities for Ukrainian veterans to live their best lives.
As part of the launch, Naftogaz Group and the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Today we are launching Ukraine’s first collaboration between a national university and a major state-owned company dedicated to supporting veterans and their development. This is not only a new partnership format — it sets a new standard for cooperation between business and education. For the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and particularly for the Ukrainian Defenders Leadership Center, it is a natural continuation of our experience in developing veteran training programs. We are proud that Mohylianka has become a platform where knowledge, experience, and values come together for those who defended Ukraine,” said Serhiy Kvit, president of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy National University.

Currently, more than 1,500 Naftogaz Group employees have already returned from the front, while over 3,500 continue to defend Ukraine. “Naftogaz’s Future Horizons” is an investment in the future of those who stood for their country.
