Ukraine and Slovakia discuss joint energy projects

During intergovernmental consultations between Ukraine and Slovakia chaired by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, the two sides discussed joint projects for the development and use of cross-border energy infrastructure and achieved significant progress.

“Slovakia is one of the key routes for delivering natural gas from the EU to Ukraine. It is in our shared interest to further develop this infrastructure. Strengthening cooperation with all of Ukraine’s western neighbors in the energy sector remains a top priority — especially now, as Russia continues its relentless terrorist attacks on civilian gas production and energy facilities,” commented Sergii Koretskyi, Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

He also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy for their consistent efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security.
