In the early hours of October 5, Russia launched another massive combined attack on Ukraine’s gas infrastructure. The targets were civilian facilities that supply Ukrainians with gas during the heating season.
The strike resulted in hits and significant damage. Naftogaz Group specialists, together with emergency response teams, are on site assessing the scale of the damage and mitigating the consequences.
The facilities under attack serve no military purpose. These obsessive terrorist strikes aim at one thing only — to deprive Ukrainians of gas, heat, and electricity,” commented Sergii Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
