Ukrnafta appoints Yurii Tkachuk as acting director

The independent supervisory board of PJSC Ukrnafta has appointed Yurii Tkachuk, the company’s deputy director and chief financial officer (CFO), as acting director.

Yurii Tkachuk has a deep understanding of the internal processes and strategic development priorities of Ukraine’s largest oil production company. His professional background is expected to ensure continuity of operations, stable management, and effective execution of the company’s development initiatives.

He has served as Ukrnafta’s CFO since November 2022, overseeing financial strategy, accounting, tax and financial policy, risk management, and investment planning.

Yurii Tkachuk has more than 25 years of experience in Ukraine’s energy and industrial sectors. His previous roles include finance business partner for the Technical business enabling unit at Naftogaz of Ukraine, CFO of the Industrial Division at Energy Standard Group, and CFO at Zaporizhtransformator PrJSC. He holds a degree with honors in engineering economics from the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy and an Executive MBA with honors from the International Institute of Business. He also completed the JICA Management Program (Japan).

Ukrnafta will continue to pursue its key development priorities, meet production targets, and contribute to the country’s energy security,” Tkachuk said.

He succeeds Sergii Koretskyi, who served as CEO of Ukrnafta from November 2022 until May 2025. Koretskyi was appointed chair of the board and CEO of Naftogaz Group on May 14, 2025.
